My grandad is a very special person like the poem below describes and I still wonder why it always happens to the good people

My Grandad was a quiet man
But still liked family around.
While Nan sat there talking
He’d hardly say a sound.
Sitting in his armchair
Hearing others talk,
Never ever offending
Often liked to walk.
My Nan she always tells stories
Of the old days and years gone by,
She must have been a young rascal
I can tell by that look in her eye.
My Grandad was a quiet man
A cure was not to be,
so he put his arms around you,
and whispered come to me.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands at rest,
god broke our hearts to prove to us,
he only takes the best
As I say goodbye,
On this day,
The memories will never go away,
Your family, your friend,
Your Angel too,
I, my Grandad will always love you.
Teardrops are falling, down from out of the sky, they fall down sweet love, from heaven up high,for someone has crossed over to the other side, cannot now dry the tears, i have physically cried, but they look down in thought, praying just for me, like a angel they sit there, oh so lovingly, its not that i grieve foe them, the reason that i cry, but its that i miss them dearly, and that is why, so instead of sitting here with so many tears, i thank the lord for the memories of the precious years for the guidance and the love, that they have shown me
Silent thoughts, tears unseen,
wishing youre absence was only a dream,
those we love dont pass away,
they walk beside us every day,
a loving dad is now at rest,
for each of us he did is best,
is love was great ,
his heart was kind,
a beautiful memory left behind

grandie, to us u r so special, what more is there to say? the pain is still within our hearts as we think of u each day, a smile can hide the tears, a laugh can hide the pain, but nothing stops the longing to have you back again. Miss you grandie xxx
You have a loving and wonderful grand daughter who loves you very much and i can see by what she has wrote and what she has done that you were obviously a wonderful man aswell.Sometimes good people like youself are taken for us to appreciate what we have in life my only regret is i never got to know you rest in tne arms of the angels friend.
